Terms of use
By creating an account or linking one (email, Apple, Google or Discord) you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. Please read the chat rules: breaking them can cost you your account.
1. The game
Apidae is a free online strategy game published by Apidae Games Inc, France ("we"). It is in closed beta: features, balance and data may change, and progress may occasionally be reset. The game is provided "as is", without guarantee that it will always be available or error-free.
2. Who can play
You must be 16 or older. You may hold one account per person, and each account belongs to one hive. You may play as a guest; a guest hive is tied to its device and is erased after 30 days without play.
3. Your account
- Keep your sign-in methods (password, Apple, Google, Discord) safe; you are responsible for what happens on your account.
- Don't share, sell or trade accounts, and don't use someone else's.
- You can sign out of every device and delete your account at any time in Settings › Account & sign-in.
4. Chat rules
Chat is shared with every player in your world. Be someone others want to play with. Do not post:
- harassment, threats, bullying or targeting of a player;
- hate speech or discrimination (race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic);
- sexual, violent or otherwise shocking content;
- spam, advertising, or links to scams, cheats or account trading;
- personal information about yourself or anyone else (real names, addresses, phone numbers, social accounts);
- impersonation of other players or of the Apidae team;
- anything illegal, or that encourages self-harm.
You can report a message or a player, and mute or block anyone, from their profile. We review reports, normally within 24 hours, and may hide messages, silence a player for a period, or suspend or delete an account. A profanity filter masks common offensive words but doesn't replace these rules.
5. Fair play
Don't cheat, exploit bugs, automate play, or interfere with the servers or other players' experience. If you find a bug, tell us at support@apidaehive.dev.
6. Virtual items
Resources, bees, items and everything else in the game are part of a licence to play. They have no monetary value, can't be exchanged for money, and may be changed or reset (especially during the beta).
7. Our content
The game, its art, text and software belong to us or our licensors. You may play the game for your personal, non-commercial use; you may not copy, modify, resell or reverse-engineer it.
8. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time (see Delete your account). We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms. We may end the beta or the game; we will tell players in the game beforehand when we can.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for the loss of game progress or virtual items. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will publish the new version here and ask you to accept it in the game the next time you play.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. If you live in the EU you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem; you may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution information.
